I offer 8 Self Study Coaching Programs (each is offered as a live class once per year, scroll down to see which is upcoming) It is highly suggested that you take the coaching programs in order, there is a true progression to my work and to have the best experience I would suggest doing each program in order. One on One Coaching is a fabulous option where I can custom design the content we cover, bi weekly calls, daily check in, access to over 200 pieces of pre recorded content. Hi, I’m Joanne (or Jo), a body composition coach with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and groups achieve sustainable, long-term results. My focus? Body composition. This means helping you lose fat, build muscle, and navigate the unique challenges of every stage of life—whether you're a teenager just starting out or someone in midlife or beyond redefining what's possible for your health and fitness.
I work with communities, groups, and individuals to create transformative wellness experiences. From equipping teenagers with knowledge that sets them up for life to guiding midlifers through the changing fat patterns of aging, I teach how to be an outlier—not held back by what’s considered “normal.” Knowledge is your most powerful tool, and body composition is a skill—one that I’m here to teach through effective, sustainable strategies.
Why Work With Me?
I’m English-born (yes, the accent is a bonus) and a former professional bodybuilder, achieving 7th in the world at a time when female muscle was far from celebrated. I’ve spent over 30 years in the health and fitness industry, with 25 of those at the legendary Gold’s Gym in Venice, California. To succeed in the mecca of fitness, you have to bring something special—and I do.
Clients over the years have included Rodney and Joan Dangerfield, Chelsea Handler, Demi Lovato, Shawn Wayans, Stephen Nichols (Soap icon), John Ridley (Oscar winner). Monica Brant (Ms Olympia) but more importantly Joanne helped thousands of people understand and control their body composition.
Pregnant clients, midlife clients, clients suffering sickness, divorce, grief, injury. Joanne has worked with every issue that life has to throw at us and rarely has the answer ever been to eat less or add another hour of cardio.
I’ve worked with household names and everyday people alike. My expertise isn’t just theoretical; it’s grounded in decades of coaching real-world results. Whether the goal is fat loss, muscle gain, or both, I’ve lived it, coached it, and helped countless people sustain it.
